"If" was a 1993 hit song by pop music diva Janet Jackson. The second of six Top 10 pop hits for Jackson, it talked of fantasies about what would happen if the singer was somebody's woman in terms of what she wanted to do with him in bed. The song was built upon a sample from Diana Ross & the Supremes' "Someday We'll Be Together", and peaked at #3 on Billboard's R&B charts, #4 on the pop charts and #1 on the dance charts.

This is my all time favorite JANET song. Nothing comes close to this...the samples, the breakdown from 2:59 time mark, the spoken lyrics...the BEST.
